Simpson Hybrid Sport Head & Neck Restraint – Womens
The FIA has officially endorsed the Simpson Hybrid head and neck restraint, presenting a compelling alternative to traditional HANS devices. Unlike its counterparts, the Simpson Hybrid offers enhanced freedom of movement within the vehicle and doesn’t rely on harnesses to secure its position during frontal collisions.
Its innovative design includes body straps that securely hold the FHR device in place, allowing for comfortable wear both inside and outside the car. This feature proves invaluable during multi-stage rallies when continuous use is required, eliminating the need to remove the device alongside your helmet.
The latest iteration, the Hybrid Sport, boasts a significant weight reduction of 20% for the large size, thanks to its DuPont carbon/polymer construction. Its sleek design incorporates defined wings to securely contain seatbelts.
Supplied ready to accommodate helmets with HANS posts, the Hybrid Sport features a sliding and multi-tether system, enhancing lateral movement and expanding the wearer’s field of vision. Additionally, Simpson offers the optional M61 quick release system, compatible with various safety standards, allowing for easy removal and replacement of HANS posts on approved helmets.
Available in five sizes (XS, S, M, L, XL), the Hybrid Sport’s selection depends on chest size, detailed in the fitting sheet provided. Notably, it carries both SFI 38.1 and FIA certifications, ensuring compliance with rigorous safety standards.
