Wires and spark plug caps are best protected against conductive and radiant heat by the aluminum-fiberglass thermal protection sleeve on the plug cap. Your ignition system’s lifespan can be prolonged by using fiberglass and aluminum protection, which can tolerate temperatures of up to 650°C from direct heat or 1090°C from radiation.
