This kit is a must for competitive race testing and track days. With a combination of  the Solo 2 DL data logging lap timer and the SmartyCam HD 2.1 you can fine-tune your parameters using Race Studio 3 software. With an option of lens sizes you are able to review your speed, engine revs, G-force against track position which ultimately allows you to see where your lap times can be improved.
Using highly accurate GPS and Glonass technology, the Solo 2 DL lap timer provides you with key information:  lap times, lap count and predictive lap times. With over 4,000 tracks loaded onto the database from across the globe, you can automatically select your nearest track based on your current position.
The SmartyCam HD 2.1 is an incredibly compact and robust video camera, which has been designed to provide great videos of your racing and include all the technical information you need to help improve your performance on race and track days. The front mount of the camera features a 128 x 128 pixel TFT colour display offering immediate playback. 
ECU Connection
The Solo 2 DL connects to your engine ECU using either CAN or OBDII (both included in the kit), ensuring key performance data from your particular session can be recorded for later viewing and then used for driver training. Power is also provided via this connection.

Bracket Connections
Providing a compact and neat mounting solution, both the Solo 2 DL and SmartyCam HD can be secured in place with the supplied mounting frame. This can be mounted in your car with the powerful suction cup or securely positioned using the roll cage mount. There are various options depending on circuit or driver requirements, it also makes it ideal if you need to transfer the system to another car.

Real-Time Overlay
The SmartyCam HD 2.1 automatically overlays on your video all the data you need, speed, RPM, lap number, gear shifts and much more. You can choose the graphical layout to suit your requirements from the many different overlay options available.

CMOS Sensor & Lens
SmartyCam HD 2.1 has been designed to avoid the problem of image distortion with the global shutter CMOS sensor. The camera shutter captures the entire image at the same time, the result is the images are captured at once and are not affected by the vibrations that happen while driving on track or road which create the so-called wave effect.

The SmartyCam HD 2.1 is available with a choice of three lens options:

The 67° HFOV lens, wide 84° or 120° HFOV lens.

Designed for extreme conditions
The SmartyCam GP HD has been designed to last and work under the pressure of extreme motorsport conditions such as poor weather, strong and prolonged vibrations, continuous rain and extreme high and low temperatures. The SmartyCam HD is made in machinery moulded aluminium.
 

Automatic Start/Stop
When you’re at the starting grid the last thing you want to be doing is fumbling around with your camera. The SmartyCam HD has been designed with this in mind and switches on/off automatically and starts/stops recording in the same way.

The SmartyCam HD can be switched on by the logger it is connected to. Switch-off is automatic too, you can decide after what period of non-activity the camera will switch off.

Recording can also be started/stopped automatically or via the keyboard. With an automatic switch-on, the camera will start recording when the speed or RPM threshold is exceeded. In this case, you can simply decide how long after dropping below the selected threshold the video will automatically stop.

Higher Storage Capacity
Uses a compression system that has been optimised to provide the perfect balance between video quality and file size. Video is stored on an SD card and you can select 3 different recording quality options: High quality, 1 hour = 4GB, Standard quality – 1 hour = 2GB, Low quality – 1 hour = 1.5GB. This means that with a 128GB SD card you could store over 32 hours of footage.
The USB port and SD card housing are 100% protected from air and weathering.
